  Celina Burns,
President, Dallas-Fort Worth Market Humana Inc.


As President of Humana's Dallas-Fort Worth commercial operations, Celina Burns oversees Humana’s commercial health insurance business in the Metroplex, including the company’s strategic direction, growth and profitability.

Burns most recently served as Humana’s vice president of network development in North Texas.  In this role, she was responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with Humana’s provider network in North Texas, including successfully leading efforts to improve the market’s strategic unit cost and pricing for employers with more than 100 employees. 

Before joining Humana, Burns’ gained a wide depth of managerial and sales experience with positions at organizations such as Prudential Financial, Aetna Inc., and Cigna Health Care, Inc. 

Burns, a graduate of Texas State University, is the chair of the 2009 American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women campaign in Dallas.  An active member of the health industry and the community, she is also a board member of the Health Industry Council and the American Heart Association, and is a member of both the Dallas Forth Worth Business Group on Health and the North Dallas Business Chamber.
