 Lori A. Andersen, MS
Ms. Andersen is a key member of NCQA's Policy department, where she manages the process of developing and implementing new and existing HEDIS® measures, specializing in survey measures. In this capacity, she is responsible both for helping to shape NCQA's policy with respect to prospective HEDIS measures, and for providing technical expertise in issues of instrumentation and protocol/specifications development.
Ms. Andersen manages the annual production of HEDIS publications pertaining to survey measures including those pertaining to the CAHPS® Health Plan Survey and the Medicare Health Outcomes Survey. She supports publications containing measure specifications for non-survey measures and facilitates the HEDIS Expert Coding Panel. Through NCQA's Policy Clarification Support (PCS), she provides technical assistance in interpreting HEDIS measure specifications for internal and external constituents. She also provides for support for the Hospital CAHPS survey, and frequently represents NCQA as a speaker at professional conferences.
Lori earned a M.S. in Evaluative Clinical Sciences from Dartmouth College’s School of Medicine and a B.S. in English from St. Michael’s College.
