AUSTIN — Today, the Texas Association of Health Plans (TAHP) announced that Blake Hutson is joining the team as Director of Public Affairs.

“I’ve seen Blake in action at the Capitol as an effective advocate and champion for Texans,” said Jamie Dudensing, CEO of TAHP. “We’re thrilled he is joining our team and continuing his important work on health care issues and making sure Texans have the health care coverage they need.”

Hutson previously served as the Associate State Director at AARP where he lobbied at the state capitol on health care and other issues. Prior to that, he was the Director of Grassroots for the Texas office of the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network.
