TAHP’s End of Session Guide

June 22, 2021

By: Jamie Dudensing

Like every session, the 87th Texas Legislature was full of action and surprises. Throughout the 140 days of the regular session, Texas Association of Health Plans was monitoring and actively participating every step of the way, all with the goal of helping our members as they endeavor to make Texas a healthier place.

While the work is not over (Gov. Abbott has called at least one special session starting July 8), we have put together our End of Session Highlights — a summary of legislation from the regular session that affects health care, health insurance and Medicaid in Texas. Consider it your quick-reference handbook.

In addition to this handbook, on Thursday at 11 a.m. we will have a Food for Thought webinar to discuss the session overview and what you need to know coming out of the 87th Legislative Session. Register today.
